The Managing Director of inq. Digital Nigeria Limited, Mr Valentine Chime has been awarded the title of ICT Personality of the Year, 2023, during the 14th edition of the prestigious Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Award ceremony, which took place on May 27, 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria.
The ceremony was held in recognition of Mr. Chime’s remarkable contributions to the growth of the information and communications technology sector in Nigeria.
Africa’s BoICT Merit and Leadership Awards is an event that has been held annually since its inception in 2009 to reward individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the expansion and development of the information and communications technology (ICT) industry in Nigeria.
A person who has shown extraordinary leadership, creativity, and excellence in the field of information and communications technology can be recognised through the highly sought-after category of ICT personality of the year. This category is selected by the votes of ICT industry experts and media members.
The awards, which were previously known as the BoIC Awards, have been rebranded as the Africa BoICT Merit and Leadership Awards for the fourteenth year in a row.

The citation read during the ceremony
According to the citation that was read during the ceremony, Valentine Chime was selected as the ICT Personality of the Year in recognition of his excellent leadership in driving the growth and expansion of inq.Digital Nigeria since he assumed leadership of the firm in 2019.
