During a tour of the Arnergy production facility that took place on Wednesday in Lagos, Bill Gates, the creator of Breakthrough Energy Ventures and a co-founder of Microsoft, had a conversation with the management of Arnergy, as well as financiers and industry experts, about the obstacles and opportunities associated with the adoption of renewable energy in Nigeria.

During the visit to the facility of Arnergy, which is a portfolio company of Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV), industry experts called for partnerships with financiers and collaboration with industry leaders to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy in Nigeria. This was especially important in light of the removal of petrol subsidies and the increase in electricity tariffs. Arnergy is a subsidiary of Breakthrough Energy Ventures.

They also mentioned that the elimination of the petrol subsidy and the increase in the price of power had made a new market available for the renewable energy sector.

The chief executive officer of Arnergy, Femi Adeyemo, highlighted the modular Arnergy 5000 lithium battery energy storage systems (BESS) as well as the company’s proprietary energy management hardware and Solarbase software. These were developed by the company’s innovative young Nigerian engineers, who have an average age of 26 years.

Benefits of this technology

Because of this technology, financiers, channel partners, and end users are able to lease and pay for energy at a price that is lower than what they are currently spending on diesel and petrol generators. Existing clients adore her real-time Internet of Things (IoT) remote monitoring and control of the power systems, which enables remote shut down and turn on as well as energy efficiency counsel from anywhere in the globe on Android and IoS platforms. Her consumers adore her.

Remarks from Bill Gates

Bill Gates said, “I see a huge energy transition opportunity where distributed solar solutions like Arnergy’s displaces gasoline generators for millions of SMEs in Nigeria given the recent fuel subsidy removal.”

Not aware a vast number of Nigerians rely on fuel generators, Gates remarked that it is a huge thing for the renewable energy market.

He also pointed out that financing clients and reducing cost of systems will be crucial for scaling.

About Arnergy

Arnergy Solar Limited is a solar power firm that operates out of Lagos, Nigeria, and is based in Nigeria. Small enterprises in Nigeria can benefit from this source of energy.

Intermittent power supply, an unreliable national grid, and an energy shortage across the value chain are some of the most significant problems we confront in Nigeria. Diesel generators have been in use for a very long time in Nigeria, and people there have become accustomed to having them.

Arnergy’s plan aims to overcome this problem by hastening the deployment of technologies that use renewable energy sources. Their level of success will be directly proportional to the degree to which they place a high priority on educating consumers and offering resources that enable a seamless conversion, both of which will contribute to the development of brand recognition and product acceptance.

They boost enterprises and economic outcomes by placing an emphasis on dependable energy for productive use and cutting OPEX costs, which are a danger to the continued existence of their target business clusters. They have perfected their function as a distributed utility by lowering the strain placed on the national grid and making it possible for the activities of local grids to serve industrial zones as well as the public benefit, which in turn encourages economic expansion.

Arnergy’s employees are dedicated to delivering work of the highest quality, which is why the company complies with well-known international Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. This helps to ensure that the company has a net beneficial effect on both its employees and the surrounding community and environment.

The pay of Arnergy’s employees has an average of 131,250 Naira each month. For questions regarding Arnergy, please call 07002288888 or send an email to support@arnergy.com.
