Twitter launched its Creator Ads Revenue Sharing programme in July 2023 after months of planning. You might have seen a few personalities sharing their payouts already.

The programme is only for a few people who got invites at the beginning of July. But don’t worry if you haven’t yet met the requirements. Here are the steps you need to take to join Twitter’s ad income-sharing programme and how much you could make.

  • Check your Twitter app or website settings

Click the Settings and Privacy icon once you’ve reached the Settings and Support section of your Twitter account by clicking the top-left icon.

  • Look for Monetization

Click on “Monetization,” which is just below “Blue” and right before “Privacy and Safety” on the list. This is the next step in asking for a share of the money made from ads on Twitter.

  • Choose one of the ways to make money on Twitter

For now, the choices page only has subscriptions. So, just hit it.

  • Check your eligibility to apply

Even if you want to join the Twitter ad revenue share scheme, that doesn’t mean you can start right away. At this point, you should check to see if you have the right to use the content creators’ powers.

So, click “Check Eligibility” to see if you qualify.

  • Get all four checkmarks

The checkmarks show the main requirements you need to meet to finish the application process for the Twitter ad income share programme.

Among the criteria are:

You must be a member of Twitter Blue or one of the 500 verified organizations.

In use within the last 30 days

at least 18 years old.

If you pass these four tests, click “Continue to Application” and follow the simple instructions.

How Much Can You Earn?

Online personalities started posting their earnings shortly after Twitter announced its ad revenue sharing scheme. Shibetoshi Nakamoto has said that he will get $37,050. This is a lot of money, but keep in mind that it comes from February to July. Also, he has 2.1 million people who follow him, and each tweet of his gets hundreds of thousands of views.

Ashley St. Clair’s wages are more reasonable. Twitter will pay her $7,153 for 840 million impressions from February to July 2023.

This total includes verified and unverified users. She earned $0.0000085 per impression.

Your earnings depend on how many verified people view the advertising in your tweet responses and threads. Twitter has not disclosed impression costs.

Final considerations on the Twitter Ad revenue

As you can see, the internet is full of false information. Even if you have the Twitter Blue verification badge, that doesn’t mean you’re immediately eligible for ad revenue. If you do the things this piece points out, you’ll be on your way to getting paid on Twitter, too.
