OPPO has launched the new OPPO A78 in Nigeria. The FHD+ AMOLED Display, Dual Stereo Speakers, lightning-fast 67W SUPERVOOCTM flash charge, long-lasting 5000mAh big battery, intelligent and secure Colour OS 13.1, and other features are significant advancements on the device.

The A78 is designed to provide a consistent and trouble-free performance for a period of up to four years. The phone is a complete head turner both in terms of its appearance and its capabilities, including a visually beautiful Ultra-Slim Retro Design and a Diamond Matrix Design on the rear cover. These features combine to make the phone an industry leader in both categories.

More details about the phone

The OPPO A78 has one of the quickest flash charging rates available on any smartphone in its price range due to the combination of its huge 5000mAh battery and the extremely rapid 67W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge.

In about forty-four minutes, the A78 may achieve a full charge. Because of the remarkable rate at which the phone can be charged, it is even feasible to give the phone a speedy, last-minute charge in order to ensure that it will remain operational for an entire journey.

The long-lasting 5,000 mAh battery, when fully charged, is capable of delivering 27.4 days of standby time (flight mode) or 16.37 hours of video from YouTube; hence, it can easily last through a complete day of typical use.

On the OPPO A78, the company has also included a collection of proprietary technologies that are aimed to improve the charging process in terms of both safety and dependability. Because of OPPO’s Battery Health Engine, the battery life of the A78 can be extended to as many as 1,600 charge and discharge cycles.

This is sufficient to keep the battery functioning in good condition for as long as four years. Optimised All-Day Charging is an intelligent feature that observes how users typically charge their devices throughout the day and then modifies the charging speed accordingly. Optimised All-Day Charging is a feature designed for office employees who frequently keep their phones attached to a charger for the duration of the workday.

This feature will automatically stop charging the battery when it reaches 80% capacity, and it will resume charging to 100% capacity just in time for the end of work. This decreases the frequency with which the battery needs to be charged, which improves both the safety of the device and its overall lifespan.

In addition to this, the A78 features the return of 5-Layer Charging Protection, which is designed to increase end-to-end safety throughout the entirety of the charging process.

Audio and visuals of OPPO A78

The OPPO A78 is the first phone in the OPPO A series to boast an FHD+ AMOLED screen, which is something that is only occasionally seen on smartphones in this price range. The 6.4-inch display offers a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate that may reach up to 180Hz, which together deliver improved smoothness and responsiveness.

The screen has an overall brightness of up to 600 nits, which allows it to display great detail even when directly exposed to sunlight. Additionally, the intelligent adaptive backlight helps provide the most comfortable visual experience possible in a variety of settings, which helps decrease visual fatigue caused by prolonged watching.

The display also has the first in-display fingerprint unlock on a smartphone in this price range, which offers a better balance between efficient design and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

The A78 offers a superb visual experience in addition to a more immersive and crystal-clear surround sound experience. This is made possible by its Dual Stereo Speakers and Real HD Sound 3.0, which together give the perfect sound for various activities such as listening to music, watching videos, or playing video games.

In Ultra Volume Mode, the sound volume may be increased by up to 200%, making it easier to hear music or the phone ringing even in the noisiest of environments.

This mode is recommended for customers who want to kick things up a notch or two. The earpiece volume can be boosted by an additional 3 decibels during voice calls without having an adverse effect on the quality of the call’s audio, allowing customers to always hear their discussions in a way that is crystal clear.

When it comes to the camera, the A78 is outfitted with a camera system that consists of a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels as well as a number of innovative capabilities that make it much simpler than ever before to take great pictures and movies.

For instance, you can utilise Dual-View Video to record simultaneously from the front and rear cameras on your device, and then merge the material from both cameras into a single frame to have access to unique views when shooting creative vlogs.

The durability of OPPO A78

The Snapdragon® 680 Mobile Platform powers the A78, which enables it to deliver outstanding performance while maintaining an optimised level of battery consumption, making it ideal for day-to-day activities. The phone has a RAM and ROM capacity of either 128 or 256 gigabytes, and it also has an SD card slot that can accommodate up to 1 terabyte of additional storage.

In addition to that, it comes with OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology, which allows the user to temporarily convert free ROM space into a maximum of 8GB of RAM in order to keep the phone functioning smoothly even under high loads.

At the level of the system, OPPO’s in-house created Dynamic Computing Engine makes use of technologies for parallel computing to optimise the scheduling and recovery of computing resources. This results in an increase in both overall speed and stability.

The Dynamic Computing Engine has the potential to boost app opening speeds by up to 1.42% on the A78. It is also possible to have up to 19 apps simultaneously running in the background without experiencing any apparent slowness thanks to this feature.

Because of all of these optimisations, the A78 delivers silky-smooth performance for up to four years. This ensures that consumers will be able to enjoy a smoother experience that lasts for a longer period of time in comparison to other smartphones that are priced similarly.
