StarTimes, a prominent low-cost Pay-TV service provider, has launched a new digital TV set with built-in technology that allows users to access StarTimes channels without an external decoder unit.

The television, known as StarTimes Inside Sundial TV, stands out from conventional televisions thanks to a number of distinctive characteristics. It has access to more than 300 domestic and foreign TV channels, including those for news, sports, films, music, and other things. A one-month StarTimes membership is included.

Dele Ameh, Director of TV Sales for StarTimes Nigeria, said on the launch: “The TV can connect to both antenna and satellite signals, guaranteeing clear and steady reception wherever you are. It can easily update itself with the newest software and features thanks to its automated TV system upgrade capability.

It is energy-efficient, which means it uses less electricity and lowers consumers’ monthly expenditures. Additionally, it includes one month of StarTimes subscription-free access, allowing customers to take use of all the premium channels and features without having to pay any additional fees.

The 32-inch and 43-inch models of the StarTimes Inside Sundial TV are reasonably priced, and they also provide buyers the option to pay over time. It is offered in all approved dealers and StarTimes locations countrywide.

Following the successful debut of the identical product in Rwanda, where it was well-received by both the people and the government, StarTimes Inside Sundial TV is now available in Nigeria. On July 28, StarTimes Chairman Pang Xinxing travelled to Rwanda to meet with President Kagame to explore how Rwanda and StarTimes can work together to advance digital TV technology.

President Kagame lauded StarTimes’ impressive growth and accomplishments and the high-tech items the business offers. He promised StarTimes that his administration would always back them and be ready to help them expand their business.

In Nigeria and throughout Africa, StarTimes is dedicated to giving its consumers the finest digital TV experience possible. Users may quickly and easily access StarTimes channels and services on a high-tech TV with crystal-clear visuals by using the StarTimes Inside Sundial TV. Everyone is welcome to test out this cutting-edge product and experience the wonder of digital TV, according to Joshua Wang, CEO of StarTimes Nigeria.

StarTimes TV in Nigeria

StarTimes Nigeria is a division of StarTimes Media. The TV network service was launched in 2010 thanks to an agreement between the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and Chinese Media Partners. As a result, StarTimes TV was the first TV network to use DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcast on Terrestrial) technology in Nigeria. It’s interesting to note that the DVB-T television receiving technology may operate without a satellite dish installation. To intercept this type of signal transmission, however, an installed and linked ariel terrestrial antenna is required.

However, the cable tv eventually introduced its first satellite TV service. Dish TV, a new satellite pay-TV service network from Startimes, utilises DTH (Direct-to-Home) technology. In order to receive transmissions in this category, a Startimes satellite dish installation and decoder settings with frequencies are necessary.

Startimes Nigeria offers 4 main bouquets that subscribers can enjoy. These packages include Nova bouquet, Basic bouquet, Classic bouquet and Unique bouquet.
