South African ad-tech company Adbot and telecoms company MTN Nigeria has agreed to bring MTN’s Thryve Google Ads services to all small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) on MTN Nigeria’s network.

The partnership is expected to completely change the way small businesses in Nigeria use digital ads, according to a press release shared with reporters.

African mobile network operator MTN Group serves over 289 million customers in 19 markets with voice, data, fintech, digital, business, wholesale, and API services. Adbot enables small and medium-sized businesses to handle their advertising campaigns automatically using AI. Businesses can save time and money by sending automatic Google and Bing ads online in just 10 minutes with Adbot’s system.

How MTN and Adbot will work together

The news release says that, as of currently, AI-powered Google Ads are now available to MTN MSME users through the MTN Google Thryve Bundle.

The agreement will help SMEs boost their online visibility with the Thryve Google Ads Bundle, which includes 1 GB of data, 10 website conversions, and 500 Google ad views. This addresses SMEs’ main market access issue. The offer helps SMEs increase their internet presence and audience.

The move increases affordable and accessible advertising choices for nearly 4 million SME businesses:

Adbot’s breakthrough solution, the first of its kind on the continent, becomes a beacon of accessibility and efficiency for African SMEs at a time when creating an online presence generally requires a credit card and complicated campaign management skills.

MTN Nigeria stakeholder comments

MTN Nigeria Chief Enterprise Business Officer Lynda Saint-Nwafor commented on this partnership:

“SMEs must position themselves effectively across search engines and digital platforms to accelerate growth as key constituents of the emerging digital economy. Our partnership with Adbot shows MTN’s dedication to equipping SMEs to succeed in today’s competitive business environment.”

In this digital age, “With this revolutionary solution and our shared vision for innovation and progress, we will collectively ignite the aspirations of these small businesses, propelling them towards unprecedented growth opportunities.”

Adbot CEO Michelle Geere said, “This partnership marks a momentous milestone as we venture into Nigeria, a thriving hub of innovation and entrepreneurship. Our cutting-edge advertising solution may reach over 40 million MSMEs in the region by working with the nation’s largest telecoms operator. This idea helps small enterprises realize the digital world’s limitless potential, which we and MTN applaud.
