OPPO has established its own AI Center, marking a significant step forward into the future of smartphone technology. With this specialised research facility, OPPO will advance its artificial intelligence skills and create the groundwork for cutting-edge, user-focused AI services and products.

According to OPPO, its AI vision will soon be realized. The company has revealed that its popular Reno Series smartphones will soon have advanced generative AI features. Features like the ground-breaking OPPO AI Eraser are scheduled to launch on the Reno 11 Series in the second quarter of 2024. In OPPO’s quest to increase global user accessibility to cutting-edge AI technology, this is a significant turning point.

“AI Smartphones represent the next major leap for the mobile phone industry, standing to revolutionize user experiences just as feature phones and smartphones have in their time,” remarked Fredrique Achieng, PR Manager, OPPO Kenya. “OPPO is committed to driving this transformation and becoming a leading force in the world of AI Smartphones. We are excited to collaborate with our industry partners to shape the future of mobile phone technology.”

Reno to Lead Generative AI

The revolutionary power of generative AI has already been shown in OPPO’s new Find X7 series, which includes features like intelligent object removal and phone conversation reports that stand out. The OPPO Reno 11 Series will take those features and make them even better. This technical progress will be driven by OPPO’s language model, AndesGPT, which has 180 billion parameters.

Global release of generative AI capabilities, such as the AI Eraser, for the Reno 11 series is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024. Thanks to the power of the OPPO AI Center, future OPPO smartphone generations promise even more intriguing AI capabilities.
