Edutams, an organisation that provides school administration systems, has made the #25 million grant available to IT companies in Ogun State who are interested in developing fresh, creative ideas.

Ademola Adenubi, the founder and CEO of Edutams, clarified that the grant will support the development of more creative solutions to further the technological advancement of education.

The digital innovation business Adenubi recently launched a newly created online school management software company, Edutams iHub, in the Ijebu Ode area of the state, according to a statement made accessible to our reporter on Saturday.

The Role of Edutams iHub in the Transformation of Education

To provide technologically based solutions to the problems facing the Nigerian education system, he explained that Edutams iHub is an innovation facility that brings together young people.

He pointed out that local developments in school technology point to a change in the direction of digitalising the country’s educational system to be more accessible and flexible.

Adenubi stated that to use locally developed solutions for digitalising the educational system, cooperation between the Universal Basic Education Commission, the Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, and local stakeholders is essential.

He continued by saying that 10% of Nigeria’s public and private schools employ technology to some extent to drive the delivery of educational services; as a result, increased collaboration is required to create value overall.

Education Transformation collaboration with Edutams iHub start-up funds

Adenubi affirmed Edutams’ commitment to helping start-ups and promoting innovation in education by offering funds and incubator space at the recently constructed online school.

As part of our fundamental principles, we work with other entrepreneurs and startups to provide complete value to the school system. We recognise that more new solutions are needed to drive digital transformation in education.

We therefore announce that we will provide that grant facility, making it available for any new ideas that align with our mission. We are searching for innovations and new entrepreneurs to work with. For that fund to enable those founders to create innovative approaches we can use,” he said.

We would work with the Ogun Tech Group to identify and select new startup founders. We are looking for at least five, and I think the proper structure and process for identification and selection will take place,” he continued. Our facilities, the Edutams iHub, would be made available to these startups as an innovation hub so they could finish developing the items they are selling.

Adekunle Durosinmi, the president of Ogun Tech Community, welcomed the idea and gave Edutams his full backing in the meantime.

Your dedication to promoting technology innovation and educational solutions is an excellent fit with our community’s mission. We are excited to see how Edutams iHub continues influencing Ogun State’s and beyond’s digital future.

He stated, “We think setting up your physical office will be essential to the growth and development of Ogun State’s tech sector. You are making an important contribution to the development and profitability of our local tech community by offering a setting that is supportive of cooperation, education, and creativity,”
