Bitnob, a financial technology company that lets you send money to mobile money wallets and bank accounts, and Tether Operations Limited, the biggest company in the digital asset industry, are announcing a strategic partnership to assist in educating students in Africa about Bitcoin and Stablecoins.

Bitnob will hold several training events at colleges all over Ghana as part of the group effort. Students will learn a lot about Bitcoin and Stablecoins and the different ways they can be used at these workshops.

The inaugural event is set to take place on May 11, 2024, at the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Hohoe. There will be more events at the University of Ghana in Accra on May 15, 2024. On May 18, 2024, the last ones will be at the University of Cape Coast.

Understanding Cryptocurrency: A Guide for Ghanaian Students

Bitnob will start a 25-person Ambassador programme as part of this partnership. These people will get full training on Blockchain, Bitcoin, and Stablecoins, which will help them spread this information in their communities. Ghana is an excellent example of an African country that has done well with cryptocurrency.

Chainalysis released a study that made Ghana the 29th country in the world regarding how many people use cryptocurrencies. Over 700,000 people in Ghana own some coin right now.

“We are excited to work with Bitnob to teach Ghanaian finance. According to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, this collaboration will teach crypto enthusiasts and students about Blockchain, Bitcoin, and Stablecoins and empower them to participate in the digital economy, primarily through the Ambassador programme, which will fill the knowledge gap in the region.

We are proud to work with Tether because they are dedicated to improving digital education worldwide, especially in developing countries.

The African Tech Summit and The African Bitcoin Conference in Ghana were both sponsored by Tether, and the company has been involved in many recent projects in Africa. More proof that Tether is the world leader in digital education: these projects have allowed people to share information and connect.

In Africa, cryptocurrency is beneficial because it gives people who don’t have bank accounts another way to do their business. Having a way to protect against inflation and send money to family and friends abroad without any problems solves one of the biggest problems people in the area have.

With Ghana’s rising use of cryptocurrencies and Tether’s dedication to improving digital education worldwide, this partnership shows how important it is to give everyone the tools they need to be a part of the digital economy and feel financially included.

About Tether | Bitnob

Tether is a cryptocurrency pegged to the value of fiat currencies like the US dollar. It’s often used for trading and as a hedge against volatility in other cryptocurrencies.

Bitnob, on the other hand, is a Nigerian-based fintech startup that provides digital financial services, including buying and selling cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

It aims to make cryptocurrency more accessible to people in Nigeria and other African countries, facilitating financial inclusion. Tether and Bitnob play roles in the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem, with Tether providing stability and Bitnob offering accessibility in emerging markets like Africa.
