MTN Zambia on Monday unveiled the Alola 4G smartphone in Chawama, Lusaka, a smartphone launched to bridge the digital gap in Zambia and allow citizens access sophisticated devices at affordable prices.

Dignitaries who graced the occasion include Acting Director-General Collins Mbulo of Zambia Information Communication Technology Authority (ZICTA) and Hon Felix Mutati (MP), Minister of the Ministry of Technology & Science Zambia.

With a price of only K695, this gadget aims to provide all Zambians with access to modern connections.

The Alola 4G smartphone has a 2500mAh long-lasting battery, 32GB of storage, dual SIM functionality, 3GB of free data per month for three months and access to a large selection of Android store software.

The Alola 4G smartphone partly fulfills MTN’s goal to give more Zambians access to digital services, MTN Zambia CEO Abbad Reda stressed.

“The Alola smartphone aims to bridge the digital divide and enables more Zambians to access digital services and enjoy the benefits of the digital world,” he said.

Price of Alola 4G smartphone is K695

Collins Mbulo emphasised that this program supports ZICTA’s objectives of advancing safe, reasonably priced, and high-quality gadgets to enable more Zambians to experiment with the digital world.

The government’s overarching goal of economic growth through technology access is supported by MTN’s dedication to digital inclusion, according to Hon. Felix Mutati.

All MTN Zambia service centres across the country are selling the Alola 4G smartphone for just K695.
