Bolaji Osunsanya, a key figure in Axxela‘s development, announced his retirement on Saturday after serving as the company’s Chief Executive Officer for over two decades. 

His leadership has been instrumental in transforming Axxela into a prominent player in the energy sector, making significant contributions to its growth and innovation.

Transition of leadership

Ogbemi Ofuya has been appointed as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Axxela, stepping into the role with a wealth of experience.

Ofuya previously held various leadership positions within the company and is expected to continue Osunsanya’s legacy while steering Axxela towards future growth. 

Osunsanya will assist Ofuya during the transition period until December 2024 to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities.

Osunsanya expressed his confidence in Ofuya’s capabilities, stating, “I am excited about the future of Axxela under Ogbemi’s leadership. 

His vision and experience will guide the company towards new heights.” This sentiment reflects the trust placed in Ofuya to uphold the values and mission that have defined Axxela.
