InnovateAI Lagos 2025, Nigeria’s leading Artificial Intelligence conference, is set to take place on February 21 at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos. The event will bring together tech stakeholders to explore the transformative potential of AI in addressing Nigeria’s pressing economic and social challenges.
The theme of this year’s conference, announced on Monday, is “Scaling AI Adoption in Nigeria: Catalysing Cross-Sectoral Innovation and Fostering Inclusive Growth.”
Co-convener Dotun Adeoye said in a statement, “InnovateAI Lagos 2024 was a stepping stone. For 2025, we are taking it further—examining how AI can drive inclusive growth, solve economic challenges, and catalyse innovation throughout Nigeria.”

“Last year’s conference attracted over 4,000 attendees and sparked collaborations that influenced policies, businesses, and community initiatives,” Adeoye noted.

Over 6,000 people are anticipated to attend this year’s event, which will be live-streamed to 12 AI hubs spread throughout Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
Another co-convener, Ehia Erhaboh, stated, “This is not just a conference; it is a movement. We are building on last year’s successes to deliver actionable outcomes that shape Nigeria’s future.”
Key sessions will include “AI and the Future of Work,” where HR professionals will discuss how AI is reshaping job roles, recruitment processes, and skill development.
Participating businesses will also showcase AI-powered solutions designed to tackle critical issues such as financial inclusion, infrastructure gaps, and unemployment.

According to Erhaboh, participating businesses will present AI-powered solutions intended to tackle issues like financial inclusion, infrastructure deficiencies, and unemployment.
“With Nigeria’s unique combination of human capital, natural resources, and budding infrastructure, we have the opportunity to lead in AI development and adoption,” Erhaboh stated.

Workshops, networking opportunities, and talks on ethical governance frameworks to direct AI innovation in Nigeria will also be included in the event.
InnovateAI organisers hope to highlight developments made by Nigerian AI businesses developing financial, medical, and agricultural solutions.
They believe the conference this year will solidify Nigeria’s standing as a major center for AI innovation worldwide.
“AI’s potential to transform sectors is immense, and this conference is an avenue to harness that power,” Adeoye said.
Leaders in the field, including executives from financial institutions, social media platforms, and data centers, will be on hand.
Additionally, experts will examine how AI may improve food security, address unemployment, and hasten the nation’s digital transformation.
