Nexit, the innovative mobile mapping solution, officially launched on January 18, 2025. This app is designed to enhance the navigation experience for African road users, providing a much-needed alternative to existing mapping tools.

Nexit, which was founded by Dr Vincent Ebuh, has been revolutionising road travel in the U.S. since it began operations there in 2019.

A tailored navigation experience

The launch of Nexit is a response to the increasing demand for an intuitive navigation tool that caters specifically to the needs of African travellers.

As Dr Ebuh stated, “We’re thrilled to offer a global solution to local ideas that incorporates both our unique deals and existing member benefits in a way that’s easy to use and incredibly valuable.”

This sentiment highlights Nexit’s commitment to addressing local travel challenges while providing a global standard of service.

Randy Carpenter, CEO of Nexit, emphasised the app’s unique features, proclaiming it as “the ultimate highway-driving co-pilot”

Nexit allows users to conduct multiple search inquiries simultaneously and view upcoming exits in real-time, ensuring that drivers can make informed decisions without unnecessary detours.

This feature is especially helpful for people travelling in Africa, where the environment is very different.

Innovative features set Nexit apart

Nexit distinguishes itself from traditional mapping applications like Google Maps and Apple Maps by offering a fully customisable navigation experience.

The app integrates user preferences and detailed trip information, allowing travellers to create personalised road trips. The software lets users search for petrol stations or restaurants and get personalised results.

One notable feature is TravelMatch, which lets users schedule synchronised stops. For families or groups travelling together, this functionality improves planning and reduces diversions.

Nexit also launches Membership Benefits Integration, a navigation first. This feature offers AAA, AARP, Costco, and CVS membership and loyalty benefits. Users get exclusive discounts and benefits from these integrations.
