MTN Sudan launches real-time data analytics and AI solutions

MTN Sudan has adopted LigaData’s data analytics and AI solution platform to accelerate its digital transformation strategy.

LigaData’s platform combines and links subscriber data into a single 360-degree view to make decisions in real-time.

MTN Sudan is the fourteenth MTN Operating Company to implement the innovative solution with which it will optimise network resources, enhance customer experience and offer advanced mobile money products.

Also speaking at the launch, Chief Revenue Officer at LigaData, Darya Nasr, stated: “The ability to create business value from data is critical for Mobile Operators to meet their digital transformation goals. We’re delighted LigaData’s products and services are assisting MTN Sudan to utilize advanced data analytics and bring cutting-edge digital solutions to its customers.”

MTN Group’s Plausible Strides Towards Digital Transformation

To aid in Africa’s digital transformation, MTN is driving a strategy called Ambition 2025 across all 21 of its independent operating companies in Africa and the Middle East.

LigaData’s strategic data partnership with MTN Group was established in 2018. The partnership has already seen great advancement in leveraging new technologies to support real-time decision-making, improve data quality, and provide large-scale artificial intelligence capabilities.

Together with Cloudera and LigaData, MTN built a new data and analytics platform named Enterprise Value through Analytics (EVA).

By combining data from MTN’s different operator systems, EVA creates a 360-degree view of subscribers. Powered by Cloudera’s Data Impact Awards, MTN won the most competitive category (Industry Transformation Award) in November 2021.

According to the award panel, the award for ‘Industry Transformation’ is to recognise organizations that move their business to the next level and disrupt their industry by identifying new technologies, applying new skills, and operationalizing processes.
