ASUS and Techmarkit have teamed up to launch a pop-up experience at SOOK in Mall of Africa, open until July 16.

This event gives shoppers the chance to explore ASUS’s latest laptops and gaming gear, receive expert advice, and trade in old tech for up to R2,500 in credit.

If you’re looking to upgrade your laptop or test out high-performance hardware before buying, this pop-up may be the perfect stop.

Explore ASUS and ROG laptops at Mall of Africa

Located at SOOK Mall of Africa’s well-known pop-up space, the ASUS Techmarkit pop-up offers a rare chance to get hands-on with the brand’s latest tech.

On display are sleek Zenbook, budget-friendly Vivobook, and creator-focused ProArt StudioBook laptops. ASUS’ gaming range, Republic of Gamers (ROG), is also featured, including powerful machines designed for both competitive and casual players.

This isn’t just a display. Visitors can test the devices and get a feel for their performance. ASUS specialists are on-site throughout the day to guide customers through the options and help match them with the ideal device, whether for school, work, content creation, or gaming.

ASUS trade in deals offer up to R2,500 in credit

One of the biggest draws at the pop-up is the ASUS tech trade-in offer. Customers can bring in old, eligible laptops for credit towards a new ASUS or ROG device.

The value of the trade-in depends on the condition of the device, but ASUS is sweetening the deal with a Trade-In Booster of up to R2,500—exclusive to the Mall of Africa pop-up.

“If you are looking to upgrade your tech, receive trade-in credit towards new tech when you bring in your eligible old laptop and purchase a new ASUS or ROG device,” ASUS announced. “Enjoy a Trade-In Booster of up to R2,500 on top of your assessed trade-in value exclusively at our pop-up location.”

So, while your decade-old Eee PC may not qualify, newer or well-maintained devices could still earn decent credit towards your next upgrade.

Additionally, ASUS promises exclusive in-store deals, so it’s worth dropping by even just to explore what’s available.

Hands on with the ASUS ROG Ally and more offers online

ASUS fans can also check out the ASUS ROG Ally, the brand’s handheld gaming PC. The latest iteration, the ROG Xbox Ally, was unveiled earlier this week and includes software optimisations by Xbox for a smoother gaming experience on Windows 11. Although there is no local pricing or launch date yet, the current ROG Ally can be tested at the pop-up.

ASUS is also running special offers online via its official store. Deals include the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 Copilot+PC, which combines AI enhancements with strong gaming specs, offering great value compared to other Copilot+PCs on the market.

From powerful creator tools and student laptops to elite gaming hardware, the ASUS pop-up store offers something for everyone. It’s a unique opportunity to experience premium tech, speak directly with product experts, and get rewarded for recycling your old gear.

Visit the SOOK space at Mall of Africa before 16 July 2025 to explore, trade in, and maybe score your next device at a bargain.

I went to this store on Saturday. Very nicely done store . If only they put in that much effort to train their staff better to have better knowledge on their products. Store also was dead quiet. The didnt offer me a great trade in value on my laptop either.
