As Nigeria deepens its commitment to digital transformation, cybersecurity has moved from the periphery to the centre of national policy with the inaugural National Cybersecurity Conference (NCSC) 2025 marking a significant moment in the country’s digital trajectory.
The conference is scheduled to be held at Abuja Continental Hotel on July 9 and 10, 2025.
Themed “Building a Resilient Digital Future: Innovation, Collaboration and Resilience”, the conference brings together government officials, private sector leaders, and global experts to shape a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
At the heart of this year’s event is SecDojo, an emerging force in cybersecurity innovation, whose participation underscores the increasing relevance of public-private collaboration in shaping Nigeria’s digital defense strategy.
Younes Benzagmout, Co-founder and CEO of SecDojo, is expected to deliver a keynote that outlines the untapped potential of Nigeria’s cybersecurity market, forecasted to reach $230 million in 2025 and grow to $382 million by 2030.
His address will explore how international partnerships, scalable upskilling, and localised solutions are critical to unlocking that growth.

SecDojo is widely recognised for its gamified, analytics-driven approach to cybersecurity education, offering immersive platforms for individuals, academia, and enterprises. Its learning tools combine data virtualisation, behavioural analytics, and scenario-based challenges.
Its model aligns with the Nigerian government’s ambition to cultivate a cyber-ready workforce and strengthen institutional resilience.
SecDojo is a cybersecurity training platform that delivers advanced, hands-on simulations to strengthen the cybersecurity readiness of IT, OT, and security teams.
SecDojo empowers teams to build cyber resilience from the inside out with a human-centred approach and focus on measurable outcomes.
Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, emphasised the strategic importance of the conference:
“Recognising the critical need to address these challenges with foresight and collaboration, NCSC emerges as a timely and strategic platform for fostering resilience, knowledge exchange, and cross-sector partnerships.”
The call for investment in local capacity was echoed by Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
“By strengthening our cybersecurity infrastructure and fostering partnerships, we are laying the foundation for a safer, more resilient digital economy in Nigeria,” he said.
NITDA projects that Nigeria’s cyber solutions segment alone could generate $78.6 million in 2025.
With rising threats and increasing reliance on digital services, the NCSC is positioned as more than just a conference, it is a catalyst for reshaping Nigeria’s digital defence strategy. The outcomes of this conference could shape the country’s cyber-readiness for the coming decade.
SecDojo’s participation not only brings global expertise to the conversation but also serves as a model for how international innovation can partner with local ambition to secure Nigeria’s digital future.

The National Cybersecurity Conference (NCSC) 2025 is here with utmost focus on diverse aspects to safeguard the entire technology ecosystem of the country. With the theme “Building a Resilient Digital Future: Innovation, Collaboration and Resilience”, it is expected to be the gathering of industry stakeholders, key decision makers, and cybersecurity experts. The emphasis is to define the future of Nigeria’s digital defence strategy through an in-depth discussion of both local and foreign stakeholders.
In the words of the Dr Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, “Recognising the critical need to address these challenges with foresight and collaboration, NCSC emerges as a timely and strategic platform for fostering resilience, knowledge exchange, and cross-sector partnerships.” This conference demonstrates the degree of seriousness associated with cybersecurity by the government.
Younes Benzagmout (Co-Founder and CEO of SecDojo) is expected to elaborate on the potential of Nigeria’s cybersecurity market, which is projected to reach $230.03 million in 2025 and become $382.41 million by 2030. The keynote address is expected to highlight the interest of foreign solution providers and partnerships as key in developing the country’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

As an International Cybersecurity Leader, Younes will provide insight into the need for a dynamic and inclusive approach to national strategy development. This is evident in SecDojo’s innovative approach, which uses gamification, individualised learning, data virtualisation, and analytics in cybersecurity upskilling. SecDojo serves enterprises, academia, and individuals through its engaging bouquet of products and services.
These partnerships are fundamental for the country to reach its full potential in this viable sector. According to Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, “By strengthening our cyber security infrastructure and fostering partnerships, we are laying the foundation for a safer, more resilient digital economy in Nigeria.”. This is further evidenced by the acknowledgement that the Cyber Solutions sector should accrue about USD 78.58 million in 2025. Hence, there is a need for collaboration and capacity building to deepen this sector.
It is expected that the NCSC will stimulate the desired growth and strategic development in Nigeria’s cybersecurity sector.
