Meta has released an innovative AI-powered voice translation tool for creators on Facebook and Instagram worldwide. With this incredible new tool, creators can have their Reels instantly translated and dubbed between English and Spanish while keeping the sound and tone of their voices.

This new tool enables creators to reach and interact with audiences in more languages than ever before, which could lead to bigger global followings than ever before.

Authentic voice cloning creates natural translations

Meta’s AI translation goes beyond text translation to replicate each creator’s voice. Dubbed videos sound real by copying the speaker’s voice. Create lip-syncing technology to match mouth motions with speech translation to appear to speak the new language.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri stated, “If we can help you reach those audiences who speak other languages, reach across cultural and linguistic barriers, we can help you grow your following.”

Easy to use with review and control options

Before uploading a reel, creators with 1,000 or more Facebook followers and all public Instagram accounts in Meta AI markets can toggle “Translate your voice with Meta AI”.

You can approve translations before sharing and switch off lip syncing or translations anytime. Translation reels will appear in the viewers’ choice language, but can be disabled.

Meta’s Insights panel now shows language-specific views, letting authors learn how content resonates with varied audiences.

Expanding language support and creative possibilities

At debut, the functionality provides English-Spanish translations in both directions, with plans to add other languages. Meta lets Facebook producers add up to 20 dubbed audio tracks to a reel for broader exposure.

Meta suggests creators face the camera, talk clearly, and reduce background noise and overlapping speech to maximise the tool’s usefulness. This AI-driven innovation will boost creativity and global connections.
