Koto.ci, a well-known digital portal in Côte d’Ivoire that specialises in new automobile pricing references, has been formally bought by Africar Group. With the addition of Koto.ci’s new car pricing services to its central used car marketplace, AUTO24.africa, this daring step expands Africar Group’s reach throughout the continent’s automotive industry.

The acquisition, which is supported by the massive automaker Stellantis, is a calculated move to include clients from the outset of their vehicle-buying process and provide them with all the market data in one location.

Integration adds new vehicle pricing layer

With an emphasis on fostering confidence and openness in the used car industry, Africar Group’s AUTO24.africa presently operates in five African nations.

Koto.ci enhances Africar Group’s capacity to assist clients from research to purchase by offering crucial pricing information for new cars.

CEO Axel Peyriere explained, “We aim to support African car buyers throughout their entire journey—from research and comparison, to buying, financing, insuring, and now having full visibility on new car prices.”

This acquisition effectively connects the initial research on new vehicles with the existing used car ecosystem, facilitating a seamless user experience.

Driving a complete automotive ecosystem in Africa

The acquisition is a component of Africar Group’s overarching objective to establish itself as the premier digital platform for Africa’s entire vehicle ownership cycle.

Africar is constructing an end-to-end digital automotive ecosystem by combining Koto.ci’s new vehicle insights with AUTO24.africa’s buying and financing tools.

This strategy enhances its presence in critical markets such as Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, South Africa, Senegal, and Rwanda, simplifying African consumers’ access to dependable vehicle information and services through a single, trusted network.

These actions demonstrate Africar’s dedication to innovation, transparency, and customer-centric service in the swiftly evolving African automotive market, which is bolstered by Stellantis’s global expertise. As a result of its acquisition of Koto, Africar Group is now a robust, integrated entity prepared to influence Africans’ purchasing and ownership habits.
