Honor has officially launched the Honor Magic V Flip 2, its latest clamshell foldable smartphone, designed to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Motorola’s Razr 60 Ultra.
With a massive 200MP primary camera, the industry’s largest flip-phone battery, and a fashion-forward limited edition designed by Jimmy Choo, the device is being marketed as the “ultimate selfie phone” for style-conscious users.
Honor Magic V Flip 2: Camera power meets AI photography.
The Honor Magic V Flip 2’s headline feature is its 200MP ultra-clear primary rear camera, equipped with OIS, EIS, and a large 1/1.4-inch sensor for professional-grade photos in all lighting conditions. A 50MP ultra-wide macro camera with a 120° field of view complements it, while the 50MP selfie camera inside caters to the growing demand for influencer-ready portraits.
Honor has loaded the camera system with AI tools such as AI Super Zoom (up to 30x), portrait algorithms, and editing tricks like AI Passers-by Eraser, AI Upscale, and Reflection Remover.
Users also get five focal lengths ranging from 0.5x to 3x, allowing for versatile photography from landscapes to close-up selfies.
The phone introduces fun features like Ultra-Wide Portrait mode, film-style filters, and moving photo collages, positioning itself as a creative device for travellers, content creators, and everyday users who want professional results with minimal effort.
Big battery, bright displays, and flagship-level performance
The Honor Magic V Flip 2 stands out for its 5,500mAh silicon-carbon battery—the largest ever in a flip phone. It supports 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging, ensuring users stay powered throughout the day.
On the display front, the inner 6.82-inch LTPO OLED screen delivers 120Hz refresh rate, 2868 x 1232 resolution, and an astonishing 5,000 nits peak brightness. The 4.0-inch LTPO OLED panel cover screen also refreshes at 120Hz and reaches 3,600 nits, making it practical for quick tasks, selfies, and playful interactions.
Under the hood, the device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, coupled with MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15.
The system integrates AI features like Smart Reply, AI Interpreter, Deepfake Detection, and a Magic Capsule for productivity. Durability is another highlight, with a titanium-alloy hinge, IP58 and IP59 resistance ratings, and SGS certification for drop protection.
Jimmy Choo edition: Fashion meets technology
Adding flair to the launch, Honor partnered with legendary fashion designer Prof. Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat OBE for a limited-edition Magic V Flip 2.
The special Blue version sparkles with a Crystal-inspired “crushed stardust” design, turning the smartphone into a statement accessory. Honor also offers the device in Purple, White, and Grey, blending high fashion with daily usability.
Beyond looks, Honor encourages personalisation with accessories like pearl straps and leather slings, positioning the Magic V Flip 2 as a phone and a luxury lifestyle product.
