Valu and noon have come together to launch Egypt’s first licensed digital onboarding for Buy-Now, Pay-Later (BNPL) payments, marking a new era in customer convenience and payment flexibility.
Egypt’s FinTech License from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) allows users to complete BNPL transactions digitally on noon, the region’s largest online marketplace, without visiting a branch or downloading an app. At checkout, shoppers can register and choose flexible payment plans with a National ID.
Smooth digital onboarding at noon
Customers shopping on noon can select Valu as their payment option and complete a fully digital onboarding process powered by electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) and an electronic signature.
“This launch marks a milestone in embedded finance in Egypt,” said Omar Abdelhady, Chief Products and Growth Officer at Valu.
“Customers can self-onboard, access their full credit limits, and start using Valu instantly—all within the Noon platform.”
Paperless and seamless, the onboarding process necessitates only a few moments to digitally verify identity without exiting the purchasing interface. Existing Valu users may continue to utilise their credit limits for purchases at noon, while new users may sign up immediately.
Enhancing financial Inclusion and shopping experience
Mostafa Salem, General Manager of Noon Egypt, emphasised, “Shopping should be simple and fast. With Valu, digital onboarding is fully integrated—no app switching, downloads, or friction. Payments are instant and flexible up to noon.” This collaboration is not merely convenient but a dedication to financial inclusion.
BNPL services are now accessible to a greater number of Egyptians through the integration of Valu’s adaptable payment solutions into a digital ecosystem that is trustworthy to millions.
Such partnerships aim to accelerate digital transformation in retail finance while empowering consumers to manage their finances responsibly.
Valu is the first fintech company in Egypt to offer this licensed BNPL experience, reinforcing its leadership in pioneering innovative, accessible financial products.
This initiative shows the expanding trend of embedding finance in prominent MENA e-commerce platforms, allowing users to acquire credit seamlessly while purchasing. Valu and Noon are shaping Egypt’s retail business with the debut of digital payments and fintech innovations.
