Stephen Liang, Vertiv’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), has announced his retirement, effective January 1, 2026, following more than thirty years of dedicated service.
Liang’s leadership during Vertiv’s expansion and his previous positions at Emerson have been essential in forming the company’s technology strategy. His exit marks a significant turning point for the business and the tech sector.

Looking ahead, Vertiv announced that Scott Armul, Executive Vice President of Global Portfolio and Business Units, will assume an expanded role as Chief Product and Technology Officer starting January 1, 2026.
Armul, who joined Vertiv in 2009, received a promotion earlier this year.
