NITDA has initiated the application process for the Digital Nigeria 2025 Hands-on Masterclass, which is open to data analysts, scientists, job seekers, NYSC members, students, and professionals interested in enhancing their skills.

Applications open from October 13 to October 24, 2025. The physical training will be held in Abuja, and participants are required to bring laptops for practical sessions.

The program is sponsored by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. It is an “exciting opportunity to acquire practical knowledge in key digital areas,” as per the event’s organiser. This initiative, announced on NITDA’s official channels, is a bold step towards boosting Nigeria’s digital economy by equipping citizens with practical digital skills.

The Digital Nigeria 2025 Masterclass targets many participants, including practitioners and learners in data analysis, data science, and other digital fields.

NITDA emphasises hands-on training to teach practical digital skills. The program promotes Nigeria’s digital literacy and capacity-building goals. Registration is available at www.digitalnigeria.gov.ng/register/masterclass, making it accessible for those committed to expanding their digital skill sets.

NITDA’s role in Nigeria’s digital skills revolution

NITDA’s Digital Literacy and Capacity Development department is committed to transforming Nigeria into a prominent digital economy by providing innovative training and skill development programs.

According to Director-General Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Nigeria’s digital literacy framework adapts global standards but focuses on smartphone use, given the country’s mobile-first internet access.

The masterclass is a component of NITDA’s broader strategy to accelerate economic development by expanding the digital workforce, which has already impacted more than 300,000 Nigerians through programs such as Digital Literacy for All.

Through the Digital Nigeria 2025 Hands-on Masterclass, youths and professionals in Nigeria can directly obtain digital economy skills and contribute to national digital transformation goals. This limited-time opportunity is a clear call to action for 2025 digital skill development.
