WomHub, a powerhouse in empowering women in STEM through mentorship and education, drives the 2nd Green Acceleration Programme. The initiative unites women building ventures in circular manufacturing and climate-responsive technologies.

Empowering women in green acceleration programme

Powered by WomHub and partnered with the IYBA-SEED Project, with GIZ support, the 2nd Green Acceleration Programme closes funding gaps for women founders.

“Many green businesses show strong impact and demand but struggle to access funding because they are not structured for investors,” states programme details.

The 2nd Green Acceleration Programme selects 30 participants for finance readiness training, compliance, and investment prep.

It shifts ventures “from high-potential to high-investability. From impact to income. From traction to transaction.”

Founders commit to multi-phase support starting July 2025, including mentorship and networking. South African women with registered companies that have been operating for at least 6 months qualify.

Boosting green acceleration programme ventures

Targeted at female-founded or women-managed firms in the energy and green sectors, the 2nd Green Acceleration Programme demands full engagement. Businesses must address real environmental issues with scalable models.

WomHub’s Green Acceleration Programme is listed as active, alongside initiatives such as Women in Circular Mining. It equips participants with peer networks and funding pathways.

Women respond to local challenges in clean energy and waste solutions. The 2nd Green Acceleration Programme strengthens operations for investor appeal.

This 2nd Green Acceleration Programme builds on WomHub’s track record in green initiatives. Applications opened recently, drawing interest from across South Africa.
