Applications for the 2026 cohort are open until April 1, 2026, with selected participants invited to Berlin for an intensive programme focused on GreenTech collaboration.

What AGYLE greentech offers and how it works

The AGYLE – African-German Young Leaders in GreenTech programme brings together about 40 selected leaders for a fully funded “Live Week” in Berlin scheduled for September 14–18, 2026.

Participants engage in workshops, policy discussions, and business exchanges with stakeholders from industry and government. They also present solutions in areas such as renewable energy, climate tech, water management, and sustainable mobility.

The programme doesn’t offer a direct cash prize, but it provides high-value benefits, including global exposure, leadership training, and cross-border collaboration opportunities.

According to programme details, participants gain “fully funded participation in the AGYLE Live Week in Berlin” and access to a long-term international network.

The AGYLE – African-German Young Leaders in GreenTech programme also supports long-term engagement through alumni networks, digital sessions, and continued collaboration.

Eligibility and application requirements

The AGYLE – African-German Young Leaders in GreenTech programme is open to applicants under 40 years old with at least three years of leadership or entrepreneurial experience.

Eligible candidates must come from—or have worked for at least five years in—countries including Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, Tunisia, Germany, or Austria.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and economic development, particularly within GreenTech sectors.

They must also show interest in African-European cooperation and be willing to actively participate in the AGYLE alumni network after the programme.

Application process, deadline and how to apply

The application process for the AGYLE – African-German Young Leaders in GreenTech programme is conducted online, where candidates submit personal details, professional experience, and information about their innovation or leadership work.

Applications are reviewed by an international jury, which selects participants based on leadership potential, impact, and alignment with GreenTech innovation goals.

Interested applicants can apply via the official portal here.

The deadline for submission is April 1, 2026, after which shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the selection process.

The AGYLE – African-German Young Leaders in GreenTech programme continues to attract entrepreneurs and professionals seeking to scale climate-focused ideas while building partnerships between Africa and Europe.
