Saudi Arabia’s live-learning sector just received a major vote of confidence. Phoenix Venture Partners Limited (PVP) announced on Wednesday that it has led a USD 2.5 million Pre-Series A priced equity round in GAGA Inc., the Saudi edtech platform delivering live, interactive learning for students aged 4 to 18. The deal marks a defining moment for Arabic-language online education in the Kingdom.

Founded in 2021 by Abdullah Alkharsani and Eyad Alshabaan, GAGA offers live, interactive online education for students aged 4 to 18, with over 1,000 programmes across 200 subjects.

The platform combines academic and skill-based learning through real-time teacher-student interactions, carving out a model that goes far beyond pre-recorded video content.

GAGA’s live learning model disrupts traditional tutoring in Saudi Arabia

With total funding now reaching USD 4.2 million, GAGA is positioning itself as a leading alternative to traditional private tutoring and non-interactive digital learning platforms in the Kingdom. Its emphasis on real-time engagement sets it apart in a market that has historically leaned on passive digital tools.

GAGA’s live learning interface emphasises real-time interaction, peer collaboration, and measurable outcomes, addressing a growing demand for high-quality, accessible Arabic educational content across the Kingdom.

The platform has built a rigorously vetted educator network to support this approach, anchoring quality at the core of its live learning model.

USD 2.5M fuels GAGA’s expansion of Arabic content and educator network

GAGA CEO Abdullah Al-Khorasani made the platform’s ambitions clear. “This round marks an important milestone in our mission to make world-class, interactive Arabic learning accessible to every family in Saudi Arabia. With PVP’s belief in our vision, we will expand our educator network, strengthen our Arabic content, and accelerate our technology development to empower more students across the Kingdom,” he said.

PVP’s Steve Khayat echoed that conviction. “Our investment in GAGA reflects our strong conviction in the team’s resilience, drive, and ability to deliver meaningful impact at scale. The platform elevates the quality and availability of Arabic educational content, giving young learners access to interactive, high-quality experiences in their own language,”  he stated.

Saudi Arabia’s edtech sector was valued at USD 2.3 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 6.8 billion by 2033, propelled by Vision 2030’s emphasis on digital literacy and a knowledge-driven economy.

GAGA’s live learning raises lands squarely within this trajectory, with the USD 2.5M round set to fund educator recruitment, technology upgrades, and scaled Arabic content production.
