The programme, widely known as ABLE, is run by the African Diaspora Network and supports early-stage founders building businesses with social and economic impact. Applications officially opened on June 1, while the submission deadline is set for July 12, 2026.

Funding and Mentorship at the Core

ABLE has built a reputation for helping under-represented entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses through expert guidance and access to influential networks. The initiative focuses on founders who often struggle to secure traditional investment opportunities despite showing strong business potential.

Participants selected for the 2026 cohort will receive leadership training, mentorship from experienced industry professionals, and exposure to investors in Silicon Valley and beyond. The programme also offers tailored coaching to improve investor readiness and long-term business growth.

According to the African Diaspora Network, entrepreneurs who complete the accelerator may qualify for financial awards upon successful completion of the programme. Founders will also have the chance to showcase their ventures at a pitch and graduation event scheduled for Silicon Valley later in the year.

Focus on African Diaspora Innovation

The accelerator programme focuses on businesses led by entrepreneurs connected to Africa and historically undercapitalised communities in the United States. Organisers say the initiative seeks to strengthen collaboration, expand market opportunities, and increase visibility for founders whose work often receives limited exposure.

The programme’s advisory and mentorship network includes business executives, legal experts, investors, and entrepreneurship specialists from leading organisations in technology, finance, healthcare, and venture capital.

Past editions of ABLE have supported several startup founders through networking events, fundraising workshops, and investor forums. The initiative has also created a growing community of entrepreneurs working across sectors such as health technology, sustainability, education, and digital innovation.

Key Dates for Applicants

Applications for the 2026 cohort opened on June 1 and will remain open until July 12. Final cohort selections are expected by August 31, with the programme scheduled to begin on September 4.

The African Diaspora Network says the accelerator is fully funded for selected participants, giving founders access to high-level business support without participation fees.

Entrepreneurs interested in the programme are encouraged to submit their applications early and join the expanding network of African diaspora founders working to grow innovative businesses across the United States.

The ABLE initiative continues to position itself as a platform for entrepreneurs seeking mentorship, funding pathways, and stronger business visibility in competitive markets.
