After putting an end to listing parties and events in June, Airbnb has improved its analysis tools in the US and Canada.

Airbnb, is an American company that operates an online marketplace for lodging, primarily homestays for vacation rentals and tourism activities.

The company’s “anti-party” technology is meant to find people who might be breaking the rules by looking at things like how many good reviews a user has, how long the trip is, where the listing is, and whether or not the reservation was made on a weekday.

According to Airbnb, the technology stops bookings that may evolve into illegal gatherings. For example, when hosts are physically on the site, it will be nearly impossible for guests to start a party without permission. This will stop them from booking the whole house and allow them to rent just one room. This new technology will work with the company’s system for people under 25. If a guest under 25 has less than three good reviews, they won’t be able to book an entire residence.

In line with a blog post published by Airbnb, a test run of “a comparable variant of this method” in Australia began in October 2021 and “has been quite effective.” There has been a 35% reduction in incidents involving unauthorized persons in the regions of Australia where this test program has been implemented.

The CEO of Airbnb, Brian Chesky, announced a ban on “party houses” after five people were shot and killed at a Halloween party at an Airbnb rental house in Orinda, California in 2019. He added, “We are redoubling our efforts to tackle unauthorized gatherings and prevent abusive host and guest misconduct.” To aid in enforcing this policy, Airbnb has also set up a 24/7 support hotline via which guests may report loud and disruptive events. It started by excluding customers younger than 25 with no prior favourable ratings from reserving local house listings.

Due to the COVID-19 virus, the company said that events and parties on its listings will be limited to 16 people worldwide in August 2020. Airbnb tries to stop rentals from being used for parties, but a poll by the innovative home startup Vivint found that one in five rentals broke the “no parties” rule.

Airbnb’s Q2 2022 earnings report shows that the company booked more than 103 million nights and experiences. This is the most the company has ever done in a single quarter. However, this amount was lower than StreetAccount’s projection of 106.4 million nights and experience He added that despite the recession, record sales are still achievable. Even though, In the past few years, more and more customers have complained that Airbnb bookings are getting more expensive because of changes like higher cleaning fees and other hidden taxes.

Last year, the firm humbly justified these payments by arguing that they provide consumers with transparency about prices when renting a home. It also said that it doesn’t strictly control how much cleaning costs, but it gives property owners advice on how to keep prices reasonable.

The Globe and Mail released a report claiming that an Airbnb reservation costs about the same as a hotel room for a night in Toronto. In June, NerdWallet surveyed 1,000 Airbnb rentals in the United States and found that 34 per cent of those listings included a cleaning cost of between $20 and $30.
