Airtel Nigeria made a daring move by launching Airtel Assist, a WhatsApp-based chatbot that provides 24/7 real-time support.

This chatbot allows users to check balances, buy airtime or data, make payments, troubleshoot issues, and get personalised advice via WhatsApp.

Making support available on one of the nation’s most popular messaging platforms prioritises client convenience.

Chatbot brings customer care to WhatsApp

Without call centre queues, Airtel Assist serves consumers instantly. CEO Dinesh Balsingh of Airtel Nigeria remarked, “This is Airtel meeting Nigerians exactly where they are, on platforms they trust and use daily.”

He emphasised that the chatbot is “fast, secure, and always available,” designed to serve “real people with real needs, in real time.”

Airtel Assist lets Nigerian telecom users get help without leaving their favourite app, ushering in a new era of digital customer care.

Designed for convenience and local needs

Ismail Adeshina, Airtel’s Director of Marketing, highlighted the chatbot’s empathy-driven design: “Everything about Airtel Assist is designed to simplify and enhance the way our customers engage with us.”

Whether checking data balance during a conversation or buying data while commuting, the chatbot can always help.

Oyebowale Akideinde, Head of Digital Products & Innovation, added, “With Airtel Assist, we’re unlocking a human way to connect on one of Nigeria’s favourite digital platforms: WhatsApp!” His words underline how the service suits Nigerians’ daily habits and preferences.

How to access Airtel Assist

It’s easy to activate Airtel Assist. Airtel customers can click https://wa.me/2348028800000 or send a WhatsApp message to +2348028800000. With this simple setup, you may quickly access all of Airtel’s services without fuss.

The chatbot employs artificial intelligence (AI) to answer questions while reducing wait times and accelerating service safely. By making customer service more intelligent and readily available, Airtel Nigeria intends to lead telecom innovation.

Through WhatsApp self-service, Airtel Nigeria is altering how telecom users obtain help.

Airtel Assist provides personalised, fast, and dependable support on users’ favourite apps, making telecom service easier. This technology leap benefits Airtel consumers who demand rapid responses to their questions.
