AltSchool Africa has teamed up with the Government of Cape Verde through Cabo Verde Digital and Ola.CV, to provide free digital skills training to 100 Cape Verdeans. 

This 12-month certified program, set to begin in March 2025, aims to empower participants with in-demand technical and non-technical skills, boosting their employability and career readiness. This collaboration is part of a broader effort to enhance Cape Verde’s digital ecosystem and drive economic growth.

Sponsored by Ola.CV, the program aligns with Cabo Verde Digital’s mission of fostering digital innovation and entrepreneurship. What participants will gain

Participants will receive industry-recognized training through a structured 12-month curriculum developed by AltSchool Africa, known for its hands-on, industry-aligned approach. 

The program covers a range of tracks, including Frontend and Backend Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, Product Design, Product Marketing, Product Management, Data Analysis, Data Science, and Data Engineering.

In addition to technical skills, the program offers personalised mentorship, community-building opportunities, and career placement support, ensuring a successful transition into the digital workforce. Graduates will earn a world-class diploma and an additional certification, enhancing their employability and career prospects.

Altschool Africa assessments and program timeline

Assessments are ongoing and will continue until February 28, 2025. Learning will be online-first, with offline community engagement sessions to foster collaboration and networking. 

The program concludes in March 2026 with a graduation ceremony and job placement support, paving the way for participants to secure employment or launch startups in Cape Verde’s growing digital economy.
