Amazon has announced the AWS Generative AI Accelerator, a 10-week programme for generative AI entrepreneurs throughout the world.

The global programme assists ten early-stage generative AI businesses with their debut. According to Report, big tech corporations launched a conversational AI business accelerator programme in 2016.

It also announced the Alexa Award for conversational AI created by college students.

This project helps early-stage generative AI startups improve their community and technical capabilities, machine learning performance, and brand recognition. It will also empower business owners with cutting-edge AI models, a generative AI go-to-market strategy, machine learning stack optimisation, and networking with industry influencers.

AWS’s worldwide head of AI and ML startups, Rob Ferguson, stated that “generative AI has opened the door to new ideas and developments.”

“Artificial intelligence and machine learning are among the most inventive technologies of our time, and Amazon has prioritised them for more than two decades.”

“We’re excited to see what the next big innovation is that the cloud can help power.”

The goal of this initiative is to commercialise this novel technology.

Amazon believes that the startup ecosystem drives AI innovation and that the world’s leading generative AI firms should be promoted.

Amazon’s generative AI accelerator benefits

Up to $300,000 in AWS Credits: Cohort participants will receive $200,000 in promotional credits and $100,000 in activation credits to grow their businesses. This is essential for generative AI models and industry.

Pitching opportunities: After the 10-week programme, registrants can pitch to investors, the press, and clients in the generative AI community.

Mentorship and networking: The initiative provides AI engineers with business and technical mentors. At industry-focused networking events, attendees can meet with peers and GenAI leaders.

The program Eligibility

Seed and pre-seed Generative AI firms with AI solutions or in development can apply to the AWS Generative AI Accelerator.  It’s open to global founders using cloud technology or planning to.

This accelerator programme accepts AWS-built startups with a minimum viable product, customer traction, and product value propositions. Startup founders new to AWS can apply.

The startup must have a technical C-level executive, CXO, or co-founder because of the technical aspect of generative artificial intelligence (AI). Non-technical founders are still qualified, though.

Startups involved in the government or companies that have already broken the AWS Acceptable Usage Policy are not permitted. Businesses with executives who work for AWS or its affiliates are also ineligible.

Application process

The Amazon Generative AI Accelerator is a hybrid programme, with weeks 2 through 9 taking place virtually and weeks 1 and 2 of the programme taking place in person. Virtual accommodations can be offered for participants who are unable to attend the in-person weeks, even though Amazon is not allowed to pay for the selected firms’ travel or lodging.

The selection procedure will be based on a number of variables, such as the target market, founder-market fit, the degree of native machine learning product integrations, and team makeup.

Applications open April 4, 2023, and close April 17, 2023. To apply, click here.
