A partnership between the Anambra and Lagos States will help improve both of their IT ecosystems. Angela Nwanodu, the Public Relations Officer for the state government, told reporters about this in a statement.

Through bilateral meetings with members of the IT ecosystem during the Reverse Trade Mission in the United States, people are working together to solve new problems, encourage innovation, and improve the general cybersecurity infrastructure.

According to the statement, the primary goals and highlights of the relationship between Anambra and Lagos are to work together on cybersecurity, protect IT assets, take steps to keep people safe online and grow IT service platforms.

Alake, Lagos State Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology, was hopeful about the relationship. “The partnership is crucial to strengthening our technological capabilities,” he said. We want to establish a resilient IT infrastructure with Anambra State that can handle difficulties and adapt to future advances.

How Lagos and Anambra collaborate on ICT

Nigerian Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy Dr. Bosun Tijani called for MDA digitalisation, which Lagos and Anambra state representatives believe the partnership supports. The Nigeria National Council of ICT Heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies issued the call in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Minister stated that ICT Infrastructure would aid data sharing among government departments, support proactive governance, combat fraud, boost Nigeria’s economy, and define government priorities.

Anambra and Lagos state representatives will employ new cybersecurity methods to boost IT infrastructure and build cyber threat awareness and response strategies.

Both governments will also deploy advanced cyber protection measures to protect critical IT assets, learn how to enrich IT service platforms like AWS and use cutting-edge tools to mitigate cybercrime threats.

Aligning with digitisation and customer service agendas to improve service delivery, rapidly onboarding new IT personnel, and growing the skill system to meet IT demands are also difficulties. Boosting IT talent; both sides would cooperate.

Anambra State ICT Agency MD/CEO Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, CFA, says: “Collaborating with Lagos State is an opportunity to leverage each other’s strengths and elevate our IT services market. We can empower Nigeria digitally and technologically.”

Anambra and Lagos’ agreement would boost IT and build a foundation for partnership.
