Antler, a well-known global early-stage venture capital firm, is getting ready to launch a fund with a commitment to the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP) area that will have a total of sixty million dollars.

Dr. Jonathan Doerr, an experienced entrepreneur and Partner, will be in charge of the fund’s management. Antler intends to make investments in more than one hundred businesses over the course of the next four years, providing exceptional founders with support from the very beginning phases of their ventures. The fundamental purpose of this endeavour is to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.

What Antler is set to do

In September 2023, Antler MENAP will launch its operations with a training programme that will last 12 weeks and take place in Riyadh, which is located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Out of the many thousands of people who apply, the programme hopes to single out and support more than sixty entrepreneurs as they launch their businesses.

After successful completion of the programme, the top-performing founders will be presented with an offer of USD 130,000 in investment in exchange for an 11% equity stake in their respective enterprises. This will provide the top-performing founders with a solid financial foundation on which to propel the continued expansion of their respective businesses.

The backing that the company provides for its founders goes beyond simply providing financial assistance. Antler provides a variety of resources to entrepreneurs, enabling them to be more successful throughout their journey. These services allow users to connect with potential co-founders, receive individualised mentoring, and gain access to a global network of industry leaders and experts. Antler, with its expertise in the MENAP ecosystem, works towards the goal of maximising the success of startups operating in the region by providing day-zero investments and assistance with follow-on fundraising.

Dr. Jonathan Doerr, a successful entrepreneur who has built firms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, emphasized the value of a programme like Antler. Dr. Doerr has three exits that were profitable and substantial expertise in creating businesses in both of these countries.

He emphasized that if he had been an entrepreneur, one of the most valuable things to him would have been to be a part of a community that not only introduced him to high-quality possible co-founders but also provided him with actual support and introductions to important people within the ecosystem.

The MENAP fund managed by Antler is in the perfect position to make a significant impact on the landscape of new companies in the region. Aspiring creators can look forward to a promising platform that places a high priority on exceptional talent and fosters an environment that is conducive to the blooming of entrepreneurial endeavors.

About Antler programme

Antler Ignite is a unique online programme designed to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit of high school and university students by participation in the programme.

Antler Ignite serves as a source of motivation for students who are just beginning their paths as business owners.

Students currently enrolled in high school and universities are the only participants in this programme, and its objective is to provide them with a taste of what it is like to participate in one of Antler’s residencies while also introducing them to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship as taught by Antler partners.

Topics covered will include what it takes to become a successful founder as well as the fundamentals of constructing a firm.

The Antler Five-Slide Challenge will be held for the very first time, and participants will be encouraged to take part.

In addition to receiving an invitation to attend exclusive networking events with Antler partners in their respective countries of residence, the top three winners of the challenge will be given the opportunity to create a business with Antler through a streamlined interview process that may be conducted in any residency around the world.
