The 17th edition of Aptech Nigeria’s premier career development seminar, Career Quest 2025, will take place in seven Nigerian cities in September to prepare young people for technology and international education opportunities.
In collaboration with Middlesex University in London, the event will occur in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Ota, and Calabar from September 2 to 10.
Virtual sessions
The organisers said more virtual sessions will be scheduled for those who cannot attend in person. The seminars will be held in Maryland, Lekki, Victoria Island, Surulere, Ajah, Ikeja, and Festac Town, just a few of the places in Lagos.
According to Aptech, Career Quest is the biggest seminar of its kind in Nigeria and is intended to give parents, young professionals, and students information about new career opportunities in the global digital economy.
Participants will interact with professionals from Aptech and Middlesex University in high-demand domains such as data science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, gaming, and animation.
Opportunities for Nigerian students to study at Middlesex University, UK
This year’s event carries on Aptech’s partnership with Middlesex University, which allows Nigerian students to enrol directly in the final year of some UK degree programs after earning an Advanced Diploma at Aptech.
Business Information Systems and BSc (Hons) IT are among the courses offered under the pathway.
Additional courses include BA (Hons) Animation, BA (Hons) 3D Animation for Games & Films, and BSc (Hons) Business Computing and Data Analytics.
The arrangement lowers tuition costs while saving students up to two years of study time. Over 850 Nigerians have benefited from the program in the last 19 years.
Scholarships opportunity
Scholarships are also available at the seminars. In addition to discounts on Aptech’s professional and short-term courses, attendees will have the opportunity to enter a lucky draw for up to 50 per cent scholarships on Middlesex University degree programs. More than N621 million in scholarships were given out last year.
Speaking before the event, Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President of International Business at Aptech Limited, stated that the program reflects the company’s long-term dedication to workforce preparedness and affordable education.
“The Aptech Career Quest is a testament to our mission of bridging the gap between ambition and opportunity,” Mukherjee said.
“Through our collaboration with Middlesex University, London, we are equipping participants with pathways to international degrees and high-demand careers that will shape Nigeria’s digital future.”
Aptech’s 25 years of impact
Having been in business in Nigeria for over 25 years, Aptech has trained thousands of students in media, IT, and related fields at its more than 40 training facilities nationwide.
The company stated that Career Quest 2025 coincides with the rapid growth of Nigeria’s ICT sector, which contributed over 10 per cent of GDP in the first quarter of this year and is expected to generate $32.8 billion by the end of the year.
