Atlas Copco continues its commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient solutions with the E-AIR electric compressor, providing clean, quality air without harmful fuel emissions.

Innovative Air Solution for 24/7 Operations

Atlas Copco’s E-AIR electric compressor stands out as a prime example of the company’s dedication to innovation and sustainability. The E-AIR electric compressor is designed to deliver clean, quality air without harmful fuel emissions. Its efficiency, coupled with quiet operation, versatility, and reliability, led Atlas Copco Authorised Distributor, Henri Fraise Fils & Cie (HFF) in Madagascar to recommend the machine to a long-standing customer with specific needs.

Aina Rajaonarivelo, Miscellaneous Equipment Sales Manager at HFF, explains the customer’s requirements: “Our customer needed an efficient air solution for their sandblasting and painting workshop that operates 24/7 on a mine site. Air is required to simultaneously operate two sandblasters that individually consume 6,000 litres/minute (210cfm), subsequently requiring 6 bar permanently. Special requirements sometimes also demand the use of a third and even a fourth sandblaster. The pneumatic paint pumps use 2,000 litres/minute (70cfm) and need 4 bars.”

Choosing Sustainable Efficiency with E-AIR T900

While the customer initially requested a specific Atlas Copco compressor model, HFF proposed the E-AIR T-range, emphasizing the need for a compressor capable of pushing 937cfm to ensure efficient operation, especially for continuous 24-hour use. The E-AIR T900, chosen by the customer, incorporates advanced technology, making it a more efficient air solution compared to the initially requested model.

Pamela Finniss, Product Development Manager for Portable Products at Atlas Copco Power Technique, highlights the benefits of the T900 E-AIR electric compressor: “The T900 E-Air electric compressor offers great productivity, reliability, and green energy savings and is ideal for tough environments. The IE3 motor reduces running costs by up to 50%, and the compact design makes the compressor up to 50% lighter and 33% smaller compared to diesel-driven machines.”

Complete Atlas Copco Package for Sustainability

The E-AIR T900 comes with a 2000 hours/1-year service interval, ensuring minimal and fast maintenance. With low operating costs, top-notch performance, unrivaled energy efficiency, ease of use, and extended service intervals, the E-AIR represents a sustainable, low total cost of ownership air solution.

As the first electric-powered compressor sold by Atlas Copco in Africa, the T900 E-AIR introduces a new product for HFF. Despite being a new addition, HFF is well-prepared with a qualified team and a well-equipped workshop to handle service and maintenance requirements. Rajaonarivelo assures that they can count on support from Atlas Copco if needed.

Founded in 1921, HFF has been an Atlas Copco distributor since August 2000, specializing in supplying the mining and construction sectors with a comprehensive fleet of Atlas Copco portable diesel compressors, pumps, and lighting towers. The company has built a reputation for trust and reliability, providing premium-quality products and excellent after-sales service to customers in the region.
