Binance and AltSchool Africa partnered on December 4, 2024, to offer 500 young Africans full-tuition scholarships to overcome the continent’s digital skills gap. This effort is impactful and timely, as only two percent of the African workforce currently possess digital skills.

Bridging the skills gap
The scholarship program will run between January and December 2025, emphasising software engineering, cybersecurity, sales, and content creation. The recipients will participate in organised educational programs that blend classroom instruction with hands-on training.
Samantha Fuller from Binance stated, “Technology is a powerful tool for change. By investing in education, we are investing in Africa’s future.”
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be citizens of an African country.
- Pass the AltSchool entrance assessment with a minimum score of 85 percent.
- Commit to attending all classes and participating in required activities.
