Blueroomcare, a Nigerian healthtech firm, partnered with EHA Clinics on Tuesday to expand mental healthcare access. The deal addresses stigma, high expenses, and inadequate mental health services.

Blueroomcare, founded in 2022 by Moses Aiyenuro and Ebunoluwa Collins, is a digital therapy platform offering text, video, and voice-based sessions with licensed therapists.

The platform provides various services, such as grief counselling, addiction recovery, family therapy, and stress management. It also integrates advanced algorithms for personalized mental health support.

According to Aiyenuro, “Blueroomcare is designed to make accessing care easy, helping users overcome barriers like cost and stigma.”

EHA Clinics brings its expertise in healthcare delivery to this partnership. Evelyn Castle, CEO of EHA Impact Ventures (a key investor in Blueroomcare), emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “A growing number of Nigerians need mental health care; however, these services are inaccessible or expensive. We recognize Blueroomcare’s potential to bridge this gap.”

Blueroomcare: successful scaling, new partnership

The partnership builds on Blueroomcare’s recent successes in scaling its services. In 2024, the startup secured pre-seed funding led by EHA Impact Ventures and Innovest Africa. The funding have helped enhance its technology and broaden its reach.

Blueroomcare serves over two million Africans through insurance-covered therapy services and partnerships with significant HMOs like Reliance and AXA.

This new collaboration with EHA Clinics will further enhance Blueroomcare’s capacity to deliver affordable mental health services nationwide. Ebunoluwa Collins noted that the partnership would also support businesses through Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), offering wellness clinics and mental health screenings for teams. “We aim to bring high-quality mental healthcare closer to everyone,” Collins stated.

As part of its mission, Blueroomcare continues to explore innovative approaches for scaling its impact across Africa. With plans to pilot services in Eastern and Southern Africa, the company remains committed to addressing the continent’s mental health challenges through technology-driven solutions.
