Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be the first title in the series released on Xbox Cloud Gaming on October 25, significantly enhancing Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service. This inclusion is expected to attract more subscribers, as players will need the subscription to access Call of Duty and other major titles in the cloud gaming library.

This announcement follows Microsoft’s historic $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard King (ABK). However, regulatory requirements necessitated that Microsoft sell the streaming rights for cloud games from ABK to Ubisoft, which now controls these rights.

The debut of Black Ops 6 on Xbox Cloud Gaming marks a pivotal moment for cloud gaming enthusiasts and provides a major boost to Microsoft’s premium subscription service. As with Call of Duty and other major titles in the cloud gaming library, a subscription will be required to play.

Where exactly is Xbox Cloud Gaming for Diablo 4?

Microsoft must now license titles back from Ubisoft, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. While Call of Duty players can enjoy their favourite game on Xbox Cloud Gaming, many are surprised that Diablo 4 is missing from the platform. Despite being one of the first ABK titles included in Xbox Game Pass, it is not featured in Xbox Cloud Gaming. This confusion is heightened as other Activision Blizzard games, such as Crash Bandicoot, are available in the cloud library.

This is the first time a Call of Duty title will launch on Xbox Cloud Gaming, significantly boosting the value of Microsoft’s premium subscription service, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. However, regulatory issues introduced unexpected complications during the acquisition process.

To gain approval, Microsoft had to transfer the rights to stream ABK games to Ubisoft, making Ubisoft the owner of those rights. As a result, Microsoft must license these titles back from Ubisoft, including Black Ops 6, complicating the overall deal.

Black Ops 6 to Lead Call of Duty’s Cloud Gaming Debut

While Call of Duty fans can celebrate the arrival of Black Ops 6 on Xbox Cloud Gaming, the absence of Diablo 4 is particularly puzzling. Given that cloud gaming excels in accessibility and cross-play, many wonder if this omission stems from technical issues rather than organisational mistakes.

As advancements in cloud gaming continue, the community is eager to know if Diablo 4 will join the lineup of ABK titles on Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Questions remain about whether this delay is due to technical challenges or management decisions. As the cloud gaming landscape evolves, players will closely monitor developments to see if Diablo 4 will eventually be added alongside other ABK games.

Microsoft is moving towards dominating the cloud gaming space with the introduction of Call of Duty, but the lingering question remains: Where is Diablo 4, and when will it make its cloud debut?
