It will also help the digital healthcare service company CloudClinic Limited provide accessible and affordable healthcare from the comfort of their homes, offices, or on the go with the aid of their internet-enabled devices through its mobile app services.

CloudClinic assists Nigerians

Dr. Amy Ojiakor, Clinical Director of Cloud Clinic Limited, also spoke at the launch. She said that in Nigeria, there is only one doctor for every 10,000 patients. This ratio showed that the average Nigerian has to drive a long way to a hospital and wait in line for hours before seeing a doctor. Because of this problem, many people in Nigerian hospitals show up late, which makes the death rate higher.

“With CloudClinic, a doctor can ask for a test or write a prescription for a patient. “The solution also makes it easy for a patient to quickly find the medical laboratory, pharmacy, and hospital that are closest to him or her,” she said.

According to her, they also enables patients to have their samples collected at home and their medications delivered if they are unable or unwilling to visit medical laboratories or pharmacies.

Flourish Nnamdi, product manager at Cloud Clinic Limited, added that the product is user-friendly and supported by the support available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He urged stakeholders in the healthcare industry to register on CloudClinic as patients or physicians by installing the app from the App Store, Google Play Store, or the website.

How Technology Improves Healthcare in Africa

CloudClinic: improving Nigerian Healthcare

The Nigerian healthcare business struggles to provide high-quality, inexpensive, and accessible services. Finance, medical personnel, and access to healthcare, especially due to its high cost, remain impediments.

According to a 2021 Trade Gov study, NHIS penetration has remained low. It was also reported that less than 5% of the population is enrolled in the NHIS, and 120 million Nigerians lack health insurance.

Ifeanyi Aneke believes CloudClinic Limited (CCL) can solve some of the problems associated with its introduction.

CloudClinic founder Ifeanyi Aneke wanted to bring high-quality, affordable healthcare to every Nigerian. This belief inspired the cloud-based healthcare platform.

The company also aims to improve healthcare communication. In rural Africa, language barriers have hindered patient-provider contact.

However, CloudClinic’s new technology matches patients and clinicians by local language, expanding healthcare access. This facilitates doctor-patient contact.

Cloud Clinic Limited invites licensed medical laboratories, pharmacies, and hospitals interested in partnering with them to visit the Partnership page on their website.
