Syx Labs has officially rebranded as Cognito Systems, signalling its transformation from a small experimental tech studio into a tech company focused on building intelligent infrastructure powered by AI, blockchain, and smart systems.

The rebrand also includes the launch of Martha AI, a new customer support automation platform tailored to businesses in the Web3, e-commerce, and fintech sectors.

The solution is designed to help companies streamline daily operations, improve customer response times, and scale efficiently.

From Syx Labs to Cognito Systems

Moore Dagogo-Hart, Cognito Systems’ Founder and CEO, said the rebrand marks a new chapter for the company as it moves from experimentation to large-scale system development.

“Syx Labs will always be our foundation,” Dagogo-Hart explained. “But this chapter is about precision, depth, and structure — turning the lessons from our early experiments into scalable systems that power real-world innovation.”

Founded in 2022, Syx Labs first gained attention for developing the technology behind Zap Africa, a non-custodial crypto exchange and wallet also co-founded by Dagogo-Hart.

Zap Africa serves over 50,000 users and records more than $2 million in monthly transactions. The company has since been key in supporting African startups in developing enterprise-grade AI and blockchain solutions.

According to Dagogo-Hart, Cognito Systems is committed to creating “African-aware products” — technology solutions designed to fit African systems rather than copying models from other regions. These products are optimised for mobile-first users, low-bandwidth networks, and local payment integrations.

“We’re not just building technology for Africa,” Dagogo-Hart said. “We’re building systems that make technology work for Africa.”

Future expansion plans

Cognito Systems plans to expand its engineering teams and product lines by next year to support multi-market operations across Africa and other regions.

The company also intends to strengthen partnerships with startups, enterprises, and investors to deliver reliable, scalable systems that blend innovation with real-world functionality.

With its new identity, the company positions itself as a leading force in Africa’s advanced tech ecosystem, focused on building intelligent, context-aware systems that bridge global standards and African realities.
