Dashen Bank has started a promotional campaign to increase awareness and use of its convenient fuel payment service via the Dashen Super app.
This initiative, announced on Saturday, will make it easier for users to pay for petrol directly from their mobile accounts, simplifying the refueling process.
Chief Strategy Officer Elias Hussein of Dashen Bank and Chief Officers, Directors, and Managers watched the service in operation and interacted with consumers during the launch event, which was held at a few petrol stations.
Elias underlined that the new fuel payment method is intended to meet the requirements of both drivers and fuel attendants.
“This service is a significant step forward in providing a seamless payment solution for our customers,” said Elias.
Dashen Bank to expand digital fuel payment services to all fueling stations in Ethiopia
Dashen Bank noted that it will soon be available at all stations in Addis Ababa and the country, as it is presently available at 179 stations.
Drivers spoke about how happy they were with the service. Dereje Amare, who was filling up at the NOC Fuel Station in Kera, expressed his satisfaction with it, stating that the Dashen Super App has made fuel payments considerably easier, and declared his intention to keep using it.
Drivers at the Total Mercato Amanuel Fuel Station, who expressed similar opinions, believe the Dashen Super Digital Fuel Payment Service, particularly the QR code option, would expedite the fuelling procedure.
Dashen Bank’s Amanuel Agip Branch Manager Sara Kemal went on to say that the digital gasoline payment mechanism through Dashen Superapp will greatly improve the bank’s operational capabilities.
Petrol station operators in places like Saris Adey Ababa, Laghar, and Jemo also commended the Super App for its usefulness and ease of use, emphasising how it may increase customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
There are numerous service providers that serve users of the Dashen Super App, offering a wide range of services.
To benefit from these offers, customers are encouraged to download the app.
In order to contribute to Ethiopia’s move towards a cashless economy, a number of financial institutions have launched the digital fuel payment system.
Among the financial institutions that have implemented the initiative are Oromia Bank, Safaricom-owned M-Pesa, Ethio Telecom, and Kacha Digital Financial Services.
