Datamellon launches $100K AI Ignite pitch battle in London

The global startup ecosystem is gearing up for a major innovation showdown as Datamellon announces the London AI Ignite Pitch Battle, a high-stakes competition designed to uncover and elevate the next generation of AI-powered startups.

The event will take place in London on Tuesday May 13,  in partnership with leading AI network, AICamp.

Applications are now open to early- and growth-stage AI startups seeking not only funding but also global exposure, business support, and access to strategic resources.

At the heart of the competition is a $100,000 Grand Prize, awarded with no equity or strings attached, giving founders the rare opportunity to scale without surrendering control.

Datamellon’s initiative goes beyond traditional competitions. The company is committing $2 million from its investment fund to support high-performing startups that emerge from the pitch battle.

According to organizers, the goal is to back AI ventures building scalable solutions that align with real-world impact and industry transformation.

From London to Silicon Valley

Winning startups from the London event will automatically secure a spot at the Global Finals in San Francisco, where they’ll pitch their solutions to a select group of international investors, innovation leaders, and venture capitalists.

This global exposure is a critical step for startups seeking to break into international markets and secure the backing necessary for expansion. The San Francisco stage also serves as a launchpad for global partnerships, product validation, and mentorship from Silicon Valley’s top AI minds.

Finalists won’t be left to navigate the entrepreneurial journey alone. In addition to the competition, Datamellon is offering an intensive 8-week accelerator program that provides technical mentorship, business coaching, and startup development support tailored for AI companies.

The program will equip founders with tools to refine their business models, streamline deployment pipelines, and pitch more effectively to stakeholders.

Cutting cloud costs and scaling smart

Infrastructure remains a major hurdle for AI startups, many of which face high cloud and computational costs. As part of the program, selected participants will also receive cloud and infrastructure perks aimed at reducing expenses, accelerating product iterations, and helping startups optimize their AI stack without sacrificing speed or quality.
