Ecobank Fintech Challenge 2023 is a pan-African innovation competition and business cooperation programme with the goal of making cutting-edge FinTech and banking-related products more widely available.

The challenge was created to encourage, help, and work with African fintechs.

Through the Ecobank Fintech Challenge, fintechs that are ready to grow are found, partnered with, and given access to opportunities in all 35 of Ecobank’s African markets.

The goal is to help them to become successful pan-African fintech companies.

Fintech Challenge 2023 Benefits

Become a winner, become an Ecobank Fintech Fellow, and you’ll have a chance to look into the following options:

This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to integrate with Ecobank and possibly sell products in over 30 of Ecobank’s markets in Africa.

The top three winners of the challenge will receive cash prizes of $15,000, $12,000, and $10,000.

Ecobank may choose a start-up to work with as a local partner in one of its 33 country ecosystems.

Fellows will have access to a dedicated team to help with Ecobank’s API tests, which will help Ecobank make their goods better for the whole of Africa.

Founders will become Ecobank Fintech Fellows, which gives them access to a large network of global and African accelerators, possible investors, and advisors.

The challenge gives fintechs a chance to see if they can work with Ecobank’s current digital services. Ecobank Omni, Ecobank Electronic Financial Supply Chain (eFSC), Ecobank Xpress, Ecobank Mobile APP or USSD, and MasterPass are some of the digital services that are already available.
