Grinta, an Egyptian pharmaceutical startup, has made the intriguing strategic step of officially announcing that it has acquired Auto Cure.

Because of this new turn of events, Grinta’s position is going to be considerably amplified within Egypt’s rapidly expanding health technology ecosystem. Since the company’s founding in 2021, Grinta has completed three acquisitions, which is evidence of the young company’s innovative approach to business growth.

The growth of Grinta

The first step in Grinta’s journey towards expansion was the acquisition of PH Store, an innovative B2B marketplace for pharmaceutical products. This was quickly followed by the incorporation of EME, a powerful software development business. Grinta is poised to strengthen its market influence and propel innovation within the industry as a result of the addition of Auto Cure to its portfolio of offerings.

The introduction of Mohamed Rezk, the co-founder and CEO of Grinta, into the company’s leadership fold as a partner directing the commercial team is an important facet of this transaction that deserves special mention. However, it has not yet been determined what part Amr Kamel, the other co-founder, would play in the company going forward.

Mohamed Rezk shared his excitement on the potential for the partnership by saying, “Joining hands with Grinta is incredibly exciting for us; our commitment to digitizing the market and delivering customer satisfaction has led us to join Grinta’s brilliant team. We have unlocked a world of possibilities, and together we will be extending our reach not only in Alexandria but throughout the Middle East and Africa.”

The plan in place

Since Grinta was able to receive seed capital in the amount of $8 million during the year 2022, the company has prioritised the development of its technology infrastructure and the acceleration of its expansion plans throughout Egypt.

Grinta has confirmed its place as a prominent participant in the market by compiling an amazing record of having fulfilled over 200,000 orders since 2021 and having a track record that includes more than 7,000 different suppliers.

On the other hand, Auto Cure is able to offer a strategic edge to the table thanks to its cooperation with more than 450 pharmacies as well as its impressive track record of delivering 5,000 orders since the company’s foundation.

Both companies will be able to take a greater portion of the market thanks to the combination of their respective strengths, which is expected to result in significant advancements for Egypt’s health technology industry as a result of this merger of forces.

Notably, the year 2022 saw a huge injection of investment in the amount of $50.5 million for startups operating in Egypt’s healthcare industry. This figure represented an astounding 6.2% of the total funding that was accumulated throughout the time period.

The future looks bright for Grinta and Auto Cure’s joint mission to revolutionise healthcare solutions all around Egypt and beyond as the two companies embark on this road of working together.
