Zaher AI, an Artificial Intelligence startup originating in Egypt, has recently secured a new round of funding of USD 150,000.
The company’s objective is to further the development of a state-of-the-art technology known as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
The startup’s enrolment in the Meska AI Venture Studio is concurrent with receiving this new funding from Dr. Ahmed Samy, the proprietor of Eye Advertising, an angel investor.
Zaher AI aims to revolutionise how Arabic content is ranked and displayed on AI-powered platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI, and others, ensuring that Arabic voices are heard in a predominantly English AI space.
Launching generative engine optimisation for Arabic content
What distinguishes Zaher AI is its emphasis on Generative Engine Optimisation, a technique tailored for AI-driven platforms rather than conventional search engines.
CEO Anwar Ali said at the Meska Spark Conference, “Our goal is to make sure Arabic voices, businesses, and platforms don’t get left behind in the shift toward AI-driven search.”
With more than 400 million Arabic speakers in the Middle East and North Africa, Zaher AI aims for a market where Arabic material rarely appears in AI-generated search results because AI is biased towards English-language data.
The startup provides businesses in the media, real estate, e-commerce, and consulting sectors with the ability to audit, optimise, and validate their visibility on AI platforms.
Zaher AI’s method helps brands ensure that their Arabic and bilingual content is widely featured on popular AI tools. This fixes the problem of absence that many companies in the region have.
Strategic funding and regional expansion plans
Zaher AI can grow in the Middle East and North Africa now that it has joined Meska AI Venture Studio and secured $150K.
The company wants to stabilise its offering and prepare for future funding cycles. Ali stresses how important this milestone is in his speech, adding, “This funding is only the beginning. We are preparing additional funding rounds once our product achieves full stability and market readiness.”
Zaher AI wants to take advantage of the fact that 74% of searches in the area by people under 30 are already done with AI tools, so the timing is critical. As AI-driven discovery becomes more common, the startup is ready to give Arabic content creators and companies access to next-generation visibility tools.
By ensuring that millions of Arabic users can be found in the growing wave of AI-powered searches, Zaher AI is pushing the limits of digital marketing technology.
