Following Ericsson’s commitment to using technology and connectivity to promote digitalization across Africa and contribute to the continent’s continued development and economic growth, Ericsson, a multinational corporation that provides communications technology and services, has reinforced its commitment to bringing its leadership-led delegation engagement to a successful conclusion in Nigeria. 

The commitment took place in the presence of important partners, customers, government stakeholders, and industry leaders.

Ericsson believes that recent activities in the continent’s ICT ecosystem have provided vital updates to its #AfricaInMotion campaign.

The lawmakers, service providers, and stakeholders in Nigeria’s communication industry had good conversations with the delegation’s leaders. Ericsson discussed the promise of 5G, cloud computing, and Industry 4.0 technologies, as well as the vital role that connectivity performs in promoting the digital agenda of the country.

The conversations also addressed how Ericsson’s range of industry-leading solutions can assist in driving innovation across a variety of industries, satisfy the ever-evolving demands of the country, and increase collaborations and discourse on cutting-edge solutions to progress Nigeria’s digital transformation.

The corporation has a long history in Nigeria and continues to be an important partner in the country’s efforts to modernise its infrastructure by adopting digital technologies together with its cooperating partners.

By offering cutting-edge innovations like 5G, facilitating financial inclusion with the Ericsson Wallet Platform, and fostering the next generation of innovators with the Ericsson Graduate Program and the Ericsson Innovation Awards, the firm contributes to the country’s digital transformation.

Similarly, Team Schrodinger Energy, a Nigerian group, also took third place in the Ericsson Innovation Awards (EIA) 2022 competition, an international programme that promotes young people’s skill development and creativity.

In addition, Ericsson is dedicated to using its position as a global leader in technology and innovation to hasten Africa’s progress in the areas of social and economic development. Ericsson plans to work more closely with Nigerian communications service providers to improve the country’s economy by making telecommunications services more widely available and used.
