To provide Eutelsat’s OneWeb LEO connectivity services to the global maritime industry, Eutelsat and longtime partner Station Satcom, a maritime communications leader with its headquarters located in India, have inked a new deal.

In order to offer hybrid satellite connectivity across the world’s oceans, Station Satcom will incorporate OneWeb’s LEO capabilities into its portfolio as part of this deal, which represents a significant strategic expansion.

Station Satcom to leverage Eutelsat’s LEO and GEO services to enhance connectivity

Station Satcom is able to provide vessels operating along major shipping routes and in remote offshore environments with continuous connectivity by combining the high-speed, low-latency performance of LEO with the dependability and coverage of Eutelsat’s GEO services thanks to this cutting-edge solution.

In addition to supporting the digital transformation of international maritime operations, Station Satcom will be able to meet the increasing demand for real-time data, operational efficiency, and enhanced crew welfare through this integrated offering.
