Kenyan insurance business GA Insurance Limited has launched a new product.

GA Eco Drive Cover is a vast deal in Kenya’s insurance market because it promotes the company’s environmental sustainability and the global trend towards greener mobility.

In 2025, the government expects 5% of registered automobiles to be EVs. Kenyan EV sales rose 108% from 2022 to 2023. GA Insurance created this specific insurance coverage to address new risks in Kenya’s expanding EV environment and make it more sustainable by introducing innovative risk transfer methods.

GA Eco Drive Cover pioneered carbon-neutral insurance. Professionals reviewed certification. GA Insurance liked Verra-confirmed Kenyan gold and carbon credits. GA helps local groups and initiatives track carbon using the GHG protocol, ISO 14067, and PAS 2060. The 2030 Kenyan NDC aims to lower greenhouse gas emissions by 32%. Goal accomplished.

Ga Insurance Kenya CEO remarks

During the official launch, Mr. Sandip Bhadury, CEO of GA Insurance Kenya Ltd, said, “The GA Eco Drive Cover is a specialized insurance policy designed to address the unique risks faced by the E-Mobility segment and its associated business models.” Traditional motor insurance coverage cannot handle electric car needs and hazards, he said.

The GA Eco Drive Cover gives EV owners peace of mind that their investments are fully safeguarded as Kenya embraces electric vehicles as a sustainable means of transportation. Mr. Bhadury further noted that the goal is to provide insurance solutions that meet Kenyan consumers’ changing needs while supporting eco-friendly options.

In a continuously changing automobile landscape, GA Insurance Limited strives to innovate and sustain by offering insurance products that reflect modern motorists’ beliefs and objectives.
