GoldPesa, a blockchain technology startup, established a blockchain academy in Nairobi, Kenya, providing crypto aficionados with a unique opportunity. The company has released a statement stating that the new facility would help to “close the knowledge gap and dissipate myths around blockchain-related digital assets and web 3.

GoldPesa Academy Kenya, situated in ABC Place, Westlands in Nairobi, aims for the current 4 million crypto owners and new learners entering the blockchain industry with its innovative blockchain curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities.

A study from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) issued in June 2021 estimates that 8.5 percent of the population, or 4.25 million persons possess cryptocurrency in the nation. This ranks Kenya ahead of industrialized countries such as the United States, which is rated sixth, with 8.3 percent of its population possessing digital currencies.
