Omoniyi Kolade, founder and CEO of SeerBit, spoke about the significance of the partnership, saying that their company is dedicated to developing ground-breaking solutions that increase confidence in online transactions and the safety of users’ money. Their mission to effectively combat fraud is amplified through their collaboration with GDG Lagos. They are working towards the same goal of enabling developers to use technology for social good, which will benefit society.

According to Babatunde Olaifa, Head of GOMYCODE Nigeria, the organisation’s mission is to make technology education more accessible to unleash the creativity of innovators in Nigeria and around the world. Innovators can get their hands dirty with artificial intelligence (AI) at the “Build With AI” hackathon in Lagos, Nigeria, hosted by Google Developer Groups.

What to expect from the #BuildWithAI hackathon

The #BuildWithAI hackathon aligns with Google’s worldwide effort to make AI technology more accessible to everyone. Developers, data scientists, designers, students, and anybody else interested in artificial intelligence can take advantage of this one-of-a-kind opportunity at this regional event in Lagos to try out Gemini and Vertex AI, two of Google’s state-of-the-art artificial intelligence tools for yourself. Take on practical problems in fields as diverse as social justice, sustainability, finance, education, and healthcare. Use Seerbit’s knowledge of digital payments to develop practical solutions. Gain marketable skills with the help of GOMYCODE’s educational materials, get together in groups, and connect with other people passionate about artificial intelligence.

Join the race for a shot at NGN 1,000,000 in cash, NGN 500,000 for runner-up and NGN 250,000 for third place, office space to hone their winning solution and a potential partnership with Seerbit. Win $50,000 in Prizes at This Global Stepper Competition.

The worldwide Google AI Hackathon begins with the GDGLagos #BuildWithAI hackathon. The goal of this global conference is to explore new frontiers in the use of Gemini by generative AI applications. It is strongly encouraged that those who participate in the Lagos event also think about entering the international competition.

As they get ready to compete on a global scale, GDGLagos will offer continuous support and guidance to the regional winner. Mentorship, resources, and technical knowledge will be available to them to improve their solution and present it to an international audience.

Helping Hackathon Participants Through Mentorship and Other Means

During the hackathon, participants will have access to mentors, experienced developers, data scientists, and startup founders who can help them refine their ideas, answer their questions, and provide technical support. That way, they will get the direction they need to overcome obstacles and realise their creative potential.
