According to recent reports, Google is working on a feature for users of Android devices dubbed “Clear Calling.”  The report by Android Authority, based on Mishaal Rahman’s discoveries, it was found in the most recent version of the Android 13 Quarterly Platform Release (QPR1 Beta).

This feature can be used by manually turning on the settings on his phone. They demonstrate that calls made using Clear Calling will function on most mobile networks. On the other hand, you won’t be able to make calls over Wi-Fi with it. On the settings page, it is also said that Google will not receive any information about the content of your calls, so you do not need to worry about the confidentiality of your discussions.

The noise cancellation feature of Google Meet is designed to eliminate several types of background noise, like the sounds of typing, the sound of a door closing, the noise from a nearby construction site, and many more. With Clear Calling, Google may be able to expand upon the sources of noise to improve the regular call quality of an Android smartphone. This would be accomplished by adding the ability to filter out noise coming from the road, background talking, and other sources.

If you are familiar with how to use ADB commands, you may immediately enable the Clear Calling feature on any Android device you own. After the feature has been enabled, users can access the toggle for it under the Sounds & vibrations menu. Because Google has not yet made it official, it is currently unknown whether or not it will work as intended.

Observations on Clear Calling feature

In today’s world, smartphone owners who have access to the internet through their device’s mobile data plan can use voice calling applications for their calls anytime the quality of their calls is inferior to that of normal phone calls. Nevertheless, an improvement in the call quality offered by carriers is something that almost everyone will value and appreciate.
